Privacy Policy
1. Introduction
1.1 This policy explains what personal information we collect through the website at marceaupartners.uk, why we collect it, what we do with it, and the rights you have in relation to it.
1.2 We are the data controller for that information. We are Marceau Partners Corporation, 8 The Green, STE R, Dover, DE 19901, United States of America (Delaware file number 10253921).
1.3 Enquiries about this policy, or about the information we hold, should be addressed to info@marceaupartners.uk.
2. Information we collect
2.1 We collect personal information only where you provide it to us. The website has two facilities through which that occurs: the contact form, which appears on the home page and on the Who We Are, The Experts, Our Vision and Research pages; and the events enquiry form on the Events page.
2.2 Where you submit the contact form, we receive:
(a) your name, if you choose to give it;
(b) your email address, which the form requires so that we are able to respond; and
(c) the content of your message.
2.3 Where you submit the events enquiry form, we receive:
(a) your name;
(b) your email address;
(c) your company or organisation;
(d) the capacity in which you are interested, being as a player, as a guest, as a sponsor, or in future events;
(e) the events you have indicated an interest in;
(f) anything further you choose to tell us; and
(g) whether you have asked to be kept informed about future events.
2.4 Submissions from the events enquiry form are sent to the member of our team who looks after the events programme.
2.5 We do not operate analytics on the website, and we do not construct profiles of visitors. The website itself sets no cookies. The only cookies that may be set are those placed by the anti-spam service described at clause 8.
2.6 Our research papers and points of view are available to download without registration. You are not required to provide any information in order to obtain them.
3. Purpose and lawful basis
3.1 We use the information described at clauses 2.2 and 2.3 in order to respond to your enquiry and to conduct any correspondence arising from it.
3.2 Our lawful basis for that processing is our legitimate interests. You have approached us, and responding is the expected and necessary consequence of your having done so.
3.3 We will not add you to a distribution list or send you marketing material unless you have separately asked us to do so. Where you tick the box on the events enquiry form asking to be kept informed about future events, our lawful basis for sending you that information is your consent, which you may withdraw at any time by telling us.
4. Disclosure
4.1 Your information is handled on our behalf by two categories of supplier, in each case only to the extent necessary to deliver your message to us:
(a) the provider that hosts the website and receives form submissions, being our website hosting provider;
(b) Microsoft, as the provider of our email service; and
(c) Google, as the provider of the anti-spam service applied to our forms, as described at clause 8.
4.2 We do not sell personal information. We do not disclose it to any other party for that party's own purposes.
4.3 We may disclose information where we are required to do so by law, or where it is necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
5. International transfers
5.1 Our email service is hosted within the United Kingdom and the European Union. Our website hosting may involve servers located outside the United Kingdom, and the anti-spam service described at clause 8 is provided by a supplier based outside the United Kingdom.
5.2 Where personal information is transferred outside the United Kingdom, we ensure that appropriate safeguards recognised by data protection law are in place.
6. Retention
6.1 We retain enquiry correspondence for as long as the matter to which it relates remains live, and thereafter for a period of twenty-four months, following which it is deleted.
6.2 We will delete it sooner on request, unless we are required to retain it.
7. Your rights
7.1 You have the right to ask us to:
(a) confirm what personal information we hold about you, and provide you with a copy;
(b) correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete;
(c) erase information we no longer have grounds to hold;
(d) restrict the way in which we use it; and
(e) transmit it to you, or to another controller, in a portable format.
7.2 You also have the right to object to processing carried out on the basis of our legitimate interests.
7.3 Requests should be made to info@marceaupartners.uk. We will respond within one month of receipt.
7.4 If you are dissatisfied with the way in which we have handled your personal information, you may complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, or to the supervisory authority in your country of residence.
8. Cookies and third-party requests
8.1 The website itself sets no cookies.
8.2 All fonts, images, video and audio used by the website are served from the website itself. No content is embedded from any third-party service, and our pages carry no advertising, tracking pixels or social media trackers.
8.3 Our forms are protected against automated abuse by reCAPTCHA, a service provided by Google. On any page carrying a form, your browser will contact Google in order to load that service, and Google will process information about the request, including your IP address, for the purpose of distinguishing genuine visitors from automated ones. That service may set cookies on your device. Google’s own privacy notice governs its processing.
8.4 Apart from the service described at clause 8.3, viewing the website does not cause your browser to contact any third party, and no information about your visit is shared with anyone.
9. Changes to this policy
9.1 We may amend this policy from time to time. Any amendment will be published on this page and the version and date at the head of this document will be updated accordingly.
